Selah

The Selah Collection

Naturally Dyed Linen

The Selah Collection is an invitation to slow down… to pause… to reflect.

Rooted in the ancient traditions of natural dyeing and guided by a quieter, more intentional way of making, each fabric in this collection is created to honor time, patience, and material integrity. These linens are woven from flax and dyed by hand in small batches using plants, water, and careful attention—allowing color to emerge naturally rather than be forced.

Named for the word found throughout the Psalms, Selah speaks to pause and reflection. The fabrics in this collection are meant to be lived with—worn close to the body, sewn thoughtfully, and softened through use. Subtle variations in color and texture are not imperfections, but evidence of process and care.

The Selah Collection is for makers who value meaning as much as beauty, and for garments and textiles meant to last beyond a season.

Naturally Dyed Linen

Our signature 100% linen is OEKO-TEX® certified and free from harmful chemicals. We source exclusively from suppliers who uphold fair labor practices, humane working conditions, and responsible environmental stewardship.

Selah is our lightweight linen—named for the word found throughout the Psalms, often understood as an invitation to pause, reflect, and rest. It is a fitting name for a fabric made slowly, with intention, and meant to be lived with rather than rushed.

Woven from flax and hand-dyed by us in small batches at LesaDyes, Selah carries the quiet beauty of plant color and time-honored process. Each length is dyed patiently, allowing fiber, water, and botanicals to work together in their own rhythm.

About the Fabric

Selah is a fine plain-weave linen made from 100% flax. We begin with a natural white cloth developed specifically for LesaDyes, then dye it entirely in-house using traditional indigo vats and plant-based extracts.

The fabric has a cool, smooth hand with a relaxed drape—structured enough for garments, yet soft enough to move beautifully with the body. Because Selah is dyed and washed slowly, and softened in the wind, it finishes slightly narrower, a natural result of the process rather than a flaw.

Dyed in one to five yard lengths.

Naturally Dyed Colorways

Each shade is built in layers, giving depth, movement, and subtle variation to the cloth:

Stillwater (Indigo Blue) — a deep, steady indigo inspired by calm waters and unhurried depth

Morning Psalm (Light Indigo Blue) — soft and airy, like early light settling gently into the day

Olive Grove (Indigo & Pomegranate Green) — a layered green echoing leaves, branches, and sun-warmed earth

Crimson Thread (Lac Red) — a warm, enduring red drawn from lac resin, rich with history and quiet strength

Rose of Sharon (Cochineal Pink–Red) — a luminous red-pink inspired by ancient gardens and enduring beauty

Pilgrim’s Clay (Madder Red–Earth) — an earthy red shaped by madder root, grounded and quietly enduring

Evensong (Logwood Purple) — a deep, shifting purple that echoes twilight light and the contemplative stillness of evening

Evening Star (Soft Marigold Yellow) — a pale, glowing yellow inspired by fading light, gentle and quietly luminous

Harvest Light (Marigold Yellow–Brown) — a sun-warmed yellow deepened with earthy browns, reminiscent of gathered fields and late-season blooms

Ghost Light (Pale Tea Gray) — a soft, atmospheric gray with subtle warmth, airy and lightly grounded

Steeped Silence (Black Tea Gray) — a layered gray with darker undertones, built slowly like tea leaves steeping in water.

No two lengths are exactly the same. These variations are part of Selah’s living character and are celebrated.
